Craig County SO launches new website

12/24/2019

Working with officials from SheriffWebsites.net, Craig County Sheriff Heath Winfrey has launched a new website for his department.

The website is designed to communicate with the Craig County community. It features information about the sheriff’s office, press releases, inmate visitor information, cold cases, most wanted fugitives in the area and a careers portal.

In the near future, the site will also include an inmate search and sex offender. Ultimately, Winfrey said he hopes the site allows his staff to share information easily with the community.

“We are pleased to have our new website up and running as 2020 begins,” Winfrey said. “Our department strives to provide resources for our community and we see this as one more tool for the people we serve.”

Winfrey took office in January 2017. Upon taking office, Winfrey set a goal to create a professional environment at the sheriff’s office to best serve the county’s residents. One way was to create a professional social media page using Facebook and a professional and informative website.

The new Craig County Sheriff’s Office website may be found at www.craigcountyso.com
