Records

The records division maintains all office records. They are responsible for open records requests. Open record request should be submitted to the Records Division for processing.

In-Person: To request records in-person for the Craig County Sheriff's Office, person interested may come in Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Email: Members of the public and media may submit their requests via email to sheriff@craigcountyso.com. The request should describe the record(s) requested, state if the request is for business or personal use, indicate the name of the person making the request, and include a mailing address and telephone number for the requestor.

Crime victims are entitled to one free copy of their incident report. Additional report copies are subject to established fees. The victim must appear in person and provide an acceptable form of identity verification.

Disclaimer: Certain reports can be emailed and some reports can only be released by order of a subpoena.

The first copy of reports are free to victims.
